Professional Experience

Paul Hayman has over 25 years experience in the fields of residential and light industrial construction. His experience includes: residential building inspection, commercial building inspection, expert court witness – engineering/construction, engineering design, code compliance structural inspections for the city of Custer, SD, structural building evaluations for banks, in-progress construction reports, VA structural inspections, and structural consulting on old buildings in historic Deadwood, South Dakota. He also owns and operates the oldest and largest home inspection company in South Dakota.

Other Related Experience

Mr. Hayman drafted the South Dakota Home Inspection Standards of Practice as adopted by the South Dakota Real Estate Commission in 2001 when home inspectors were first licensed by the state.

He has also authored, in 2005, The Idiot’s Guide to Common Household Disasters, a book in the nationally distributed Idiot’s Guide series. Check it out here.
